Central Copenhagen and neighbouring Frederiksberg are dominated by pre-war apartment blocks. Many have no lift at all. Where there is one, it is often a small original cage lift that will not take a sofa or a wardrobe. Stairwells are narrow with tight turns at each half landing.
The standard answer is an external hoist, lifting furniture through a window or balcony rather than carrying it up. It works well, it is completely routine for Danish crews, and it needs booking in advance. Tell the mover which floor you are on and whether there is a lift before the quote is finalised, not on the day.
Street access matters too. The medieval core has narrow streets, some cobbled, several closed to vehicles during the day. A smaller relay vehicle from a nearby loading point is often the only practical route in.
