Svendborg sits at the southern edge of Funen, and getting there is straightforward. It is what lies beyond it that needs planning.
To Svendborg itself, a lorry crosses the Channel, drives through Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany into Jutland, crosses the Little Belt bridge onto Funen and heads south. One crossing, not the two a Copenhagen delivery needs, and the Little Belt is the shorter and cheaper of the pair.
The complication is that Svendborg is the gateway to the South Funen archipelago. Tasinge, just across the water, is connected by road bridge, so a lorry reaches it without a ferry. Aero and the smaller islands are not. Those need a vehicle ferry with a booking made in advance, and space for a full-size removal lorry is limited.
