Mae Hong Son sits in the far northwest against the Myanmar border, in the most mountainous province in the country. The culture here is Shan rather than central Thai, and the road in is the defining fact of any delivery.
Shipments land at Laem Chabang and clear Thai customs there. The road leg is roughly 1000 kilometres, about fifteen hours. Deliveries here are almost always consolidated with a Chiang Mai run, because sending a vehicle over the mountain for one household does not work economically.
