Chiang Mai is the main northern city and the most established retiree and remote worker destination outside the capital. The road leg from the port is long, so transit here runs at the top of the national range.
Shipments land at Laem Chabang and clear Thai customs there. The road leg is roughly 800 kilometres, about eleven hours. Air quality drops sharply in the February to April burning season, and some arrivals time the delivery outside it so they are not unpacking with the windows shut.
