Ayutthaya is a heritage city an hour north of the capital with a large Japanese industrial presence. The old city sits on an island ringed by rivers, and that island has vehicle restrictions the rest of the province does not.
Shipments land at Laem Chabang and clear Thai customs there. The road leg is roughly 190 kilometres, about three hours. The 2011 floods reshaped how the estates handle ground floor storage, and most newer housing here is built up above the old flood line.
