Phetchaburi is a historic province on the west side of the Gulf, immediately north of Hua Hin. The town is old, low rise and built around Khao Wang, the palace hill, and it is a working Thai city rather than a resort.
Shipments land at Laem Chabang and clear Thai customs there. The road leg is roughly 250 kilometres, about three and a half hours. Cha-am is in this province and sits twenty five kilometres north of Hua Hin, so if your address is Cha-am the delivery is planned off the Hua Hin run.

The town itself has few foreign residents. Almost all of the province's arrivals go to Cha-am on the coast, which draws a mix of retirees who found Hua Hin expensive and Thai second home owners from Bangkok. Weekend traffic from Bangkok fills the coast road year round, so weekday deliveries are considerably easier. The rainy season runs later here than on the Andaman side, into October and November, and the low lying districts near Ban Laem flood in it.
