Nakhon Ratchasima, known locally as Korat, is the gateway city to the northeast and the closest Isaan city to the port. It is a large military and university town with a settled foreign community.
Shipments land at Laem Chabang and clear Thai customs there. The road leg is roughly 300 kilometres, about four and a half hours. Pak Chong, on the Khao Yai side of the province, has a growing weekend house market and sits about an hour closer to the port than the city itself.

This is the easiest Isaan delivery because the road from the port is good and the distance is short. The main constraint is Songkran in April, when the highway is at its most congested and its most dangerous, and no mover will run a load through it.
City housing is a mix of townhouses, estate houses and a small amount of condominium stock. Townhouse frontages are narrow, so long items get measured before they go in. Estate housing on the ring road is straightforward.
