Cyprus to Finland is the longest journey on this site. And the two hardest parts sit at opposite ends of it: getting a lorry to a Cypriot hill village, and getting permission to use a Finnish lift.
Collection runs from across the Republic. Limassol, Paphos, Larnaca, Nicosia and the Famagusta free areas are all served, with a road leg to the port of up to about 100 kilometres.
Goods sail the length of the Mediterranean, out through Gibraltar, up the Atlantic and into a North Sea hub, then feeder across the Baltic to Helsinki. Two sea legs and a connection between them.
From Helsinki the domestic leg is straightforward by Finnish standards: Tampere about 180 kilometres, Turku 165, Oulu closer to 600, and Rovaniemi a day on its own.
Most Finnish flats sit inside a taloyhtiö, a housing company. And the board sets the rules on lift use, delivery hours and whether protective covering is needed in the stairwell.
That permission is arranged in advance, not on the morning. Some buildings restrict moves to weekdays, some need the lift to be booked and padded, and some want notice on the noticeboard days ahead.
Ask who obtains it. In practice it is usually you rather than the mover, because the housing company deals with residents. Getting it wrong costs a wasted delivery slot.
Between December and March, snow clearance, ice and darkness all shorten what a crew can do in a day. Yard access at a Finnish property depends on whether the housing company has ploughed, which is not something a mover controls.
A delivery booked for January is entirely doable and it wants more slack than one booked for June. If your dates flex at all, take them out of deep winter.
Northern addresses carry more of that risk. Oulu, Kuusamo, Rovaniemi and Lapland need the most notice of anything on the Finnish list.
Access at the Cypriot end matters as much as the Finnish one. Paphos hill villages, Kyrenia hillside tracks and the Nicosia old city all need a shuttle rather than a lorry at the door.
Say which town and, if it is a village, which part of it. The individual Cyprus area pages set out what each involves.
Give the widest collection window you can manage. On a two-leg journey the container schedule drives the date far more than your preference does.
Cyprus and Finland are both EU member states, so goods already in free circulation move without extra duty. Union status is proved with T2L or T2LF documents.
Say whether you are keeping the Cypriot property as a holiday home rather than leaving entirely. Because a partial move is treated differently from a full residence transfer.
Rules change. Confirm with the Republic of Cyprus Department of Customs and Excise, and with GOV.UK if any leg of the move touches Britain.
A British customer asks for a removal quote. An American one asks for a moving company estimate. A Cypriot client may ask about international movers or relocation and shipping. Same service, same mover, different vocabulary, and roughly forty per cent of the move's enquiries use the second set.

Yes, say so. A partial move is treated differently from a full residence transfer. And it is easier to state at the enquiry than to correct once the goods are declared.
Delivery covers the whole Republic. Each page below explains the local access and what it means for a quote.
The addresses at each end, your preferred date and the approximate size. The mover checks the trip, the access and the paperwork before contacting you.
