Renens sits immediately west of Lausanne on level ground, which after the several hundred metres of climb that defines the city next door is worth stating plainly. It is dense, it is built around a major rail junction, and it is not Lausanne.
The rail infrastructure here takes a good deal of ground and the crossings between the two sides are limited, which means two addresses that look close together on a map can need a long way round. Vaud is a canton defined by gradient. Lausanne climbs from the lake to the cathedral hill, Vevey has vineyard terraces behind it, Montreux rises towards Caux, Nyon sits above its harbour. Renens sits flat.
That removes the shuttle question entirely and turns the job into an ordinary dense urban delivery: where can the vehicle stand, what is the lift like, and how far is the carry. All answerable, none of them involving a hill.
The rail junction is the other feature. The lines take a considerable share of the ground and crossings are limited in places, so an address on one side is not always reached the way a map suggests from the other.
Renens also appears as Renens VD and Lausanne West. Whichever version you searched for, this is the same city and the same page. Give the mover the address exactly as it appears on your Swiss lease.
