A lot of new housing, which for once makes the delivery simpler rather than harder.
Bulle is the main town of the Gruyère region and one of the faster growing places in Switzerland. Much of what people move into here was built recently, and that turns out to matter more for a removal than anything historic about the town.
Most Swiss towns present the same problem in different forms: an old centre with narrow access and buildings that predate furniture lorries. Bulle has one of those, and it is small. What surrounds it is largely modern.
New housing means service lifts sized for furniture, loading areas that were designed in, level approaches and parking that exists. It is a considerably easier proposition than an equivalent address in Bern or Fribourg, and it should price accordingly.
The trade off is building management. Newer blocks here run the same way they do around Zurich, with lift bookings, protective covering and restricted hours. Get the manager contact to the mover early.
Bulle also appears as La Gruyère and Gruyères. Whichever version you searched for, this is the same city and the same page. Give the mover the address exactly as it appears on your Swiss lease.
The town is Bulle and the region around it is La Gruyère, with the village of Gruyères itself a short distance away. Those are three separate things and they get used interchangeably by people who do not live here.
For a delivery address that is worth pinning down. Bulle is a town of some size. Gruyères is a small hilltop village with severely restricted access. Confusing the two produces a very different job.
Everything is French speaking, in the canton of Fribourg, which is itself bilingual further north. Give the postcode alongside the name.

Bulle sits at the point where the flatter Fribourg country meets the pre alpine ground, and the valleys running up behind it towards the mountains are a different job entirely.
The roads there narrow and climb, the villages are small, and chalet properties frequently have stepped approaches or no vehicle access to the door. Those need a shuttle stage, and in winter they need a wider window.
The distinction matters because a Gruyère address and a Bulle address can look similar on paper. Give the village and the street, and say whether the approach climbs.

The advantages are unglamorous and they add up. Lifts are sized for wardrobes rather than shopping bags. There is somewhere for a lorry to stand that was planned rather than improvised. Corridors are wide, doors are standard, and nothing is protected timber.
That means fewer of the questions that dominate a delivery into an older Swiss town, and it usually means less time on site. A crew that would spend a morning shuttling into a historic centre can often unload directly here.

From Fribourg or from Vevey on ordinary road, with no pass and no altitude to plan around. The run in is one of the more predictable in the country, and the complication, where there is one, is entirely at the far end rather than on the way.
Often, and it is worth thinking about before you ship. Shipping is priced on the space something occupies, so a bulky piece that suited an older property may cost more to move than to replace, and may not fit the new room. Measure before the survey rather than after the quote.
