The border is under two hundred kilometres south west and the road corridor towards Hanoi carries substantial freight. Nanning is greener and lower rise than most Chinese provincial capitals, with a subtropical planting scheme that has earned it its nickname, and it delivers reasonably well.
Qingxiu, the central district on the south bank of the Yong River, is the main commercial and residential area. Modern towers with service lifts alongside older mid rise stock. Access is good in the newer parts and tighter in the older streets near the centre.
Wuxiang New District, the newer eastern expansion, holds the administrative centre and a great deal of recent housing. Planned roads, modern compounds, room to unload. This is the easy delivery.
Liangqing, in the south, is newer again with substantial development around the exhibition and conference facilities that host the region's annual ASEAN trade event.
Xingning and Jiangnan, north and south west, are the older districts with a mix of stock and tighter streets in places.
The climate is subtropical rather than tropical. Summers are hot and humid, winters are mild with no frost, and while the city is inland it does catch the tail of coastal weather systems in late summer. That affects the sea leg more than the delivery.
Guangxi is an autonomous region and the Zhuang are the largest ethnic minority group in China, which gives Nanning a different character from a Han provincial capital. As with Yunnan, it matters more for daily life than for a removal, but it is part of what makes the city distinctive.

Clearance normally happens at Qinzhou or one of the other Beibu Gulf ports, which is unusually close to the city. You need a valid residence permit, a full valued inventory and your passport details. A Guangdong routing clears there instead.
