From Vienna and along the Danube it is a flat, short drive with no mountains and no customs. From Salzburg, Innsbruck or Tyrol it is an Alpine crossing where winter restrictions on heavy vehicles genuinely affect the timetable. Same two countries, two different removals.
Vienna sits around 130 kilometres from Brno, which is closer than Vienna is to Prague. People are often surprised by that, and it is the single most useful fact on this page: the Czech second city is effectively in Vienna's wider orbit.
Which half of Austria you are starting from should be the first thing you tell a removal company, because it changes the vehicle planning, the season sensitivity and the price.

Alpine roads carry seasonal restrictions and heavy goods vehicles are the first category affected. A pass a car crosses without noticing can be closed to a forty five foot lorry, or open only with equipment the driver has to carry.
From Vienna or Linz none of this arises. From Tyrol in February it is the central planning question of the whole move, and it should be discussed before a date is agreed rather than on the morning.
Removal companies working this journey know the seasonal picture and will say so if you ask. A removal service quoting a January Tyrolean move at the same price as a June one has not thought about it.
Ask the international moving company directly: what is the contingency if the route is restricted on my date, who bears the delay, and what does waiting cost?
Both countries are EU member states, so personal belongings move without a customs entry in either direction. No import declaration, no duty relief claim, no EORI number. Council Regulation (EC) No 1186/2009 covers goods arriving into the EU from outside it and neither end of this journey qualifies.
What remains is the usual short list. A vehicle still needs registering in its new country and the Czech electronic motorway vignette applies from the first journey, not from the date you register: see car transport. Pets need their documents. Firearms of any kind, including deactivated pieces, have their own regime.

Brno takes the largest share on this journey for the obvious reason of distance, with Prague next and Ceske Budejovice and South Bohemia relevant from the western Austrian approach.

From Vienna or Linz, yes. The drive is short enough that fixed costs dominate, so moving a room or a few boxes stops being uneconomic. From Tyrol the journey is long enough that the usual long haul arithmetic applies and shared space matters more.
Yes. Austria to the Czech Republic and the Czech Republic to Austria are the same roads with the same absence of paperwork. Tell your mover which way you are going, because access at each end differs, but the job is structurally identical.
