A car ships either in a container, on its own or with your home, or by roll-on roll-off. Grenada drives on the left, so a UK car suits the roads. We connect you with one vetted partner who ships and clears it. It's free to ask.
✅ The quick answer — Tell us the car and we connect you with one vetted partner. Free.
🚚 How it ships — In a container, alone or with your home, or roll-on roll-off.
🚹 Right for the roads — Grenada drives on the left, so a UK car fits.
📋 You'll need — The logbook, a bill of lading and a purchase invoice.
⚓ Where it clears — The Port of St George's.
There are two ways to ship a car. In a container, the car is secured inside a 20ft or 40ft box, on its own or sharing with your household goods, the best protection and the usual choice for a valued car. By roll-on roll-off, the car is driven onto a vehicle ship and driven off at the other end, often cheaper for a standard runaround. Grenada drives on the left, the same as the UK, so a right-hand-drive car suits the roads.
Your vetted partner advises which suits your car and budget, and handles the booking, shipping and clearance.
A car clears on its own paperwork. You'll need the logbook or title proving ownership, a purchase invoice or proof of value, and the bill of lading for the voyage. A broker files the customs declaration in ASYCUDA World. A car is dutiable, with the rate depending on engine size and value, plus VAT at 15%, the customs service charge and an environmental levy. Returning nationals get a 50 per cent concession on one vehicle, though not on cars five years or older.

Your car clears at the Port of St George's. A broker files the entry in ASYCUDA World, and any duty, VAT at 15%, service charge and environmental levy are worked out on the landed value, unless it comes in under the returning-national concession. Once cleared, you collect it or your partner arranges delivery, with an inter-island leg for the sister islands. Your partner tells you what's due before the car ships, so there are no surprises at the port.
Shipping a car often goes with a wider move and changing money. The local currency is the East Caribbean dollar. For years we've connected customers with trusted partners who handle any currency. It's offered through our partners, with no hidden fees.
Shipping a car needs the right method and clean paperwork. We connect you with one partner who handles both, working hand in hand with established overseas removal companies and international movers, and a broker clears your car at the Port of St George's.
