The town has a curious footnote worth knowing if you read about the place: during the Depression it ran a local currency experiment in 1932 and 1933 that economists still write about. It has nothing to do with moving house, but it is why the name turns up in unexpected places.

Wörgl itself is straightforward. The town sits on the flat valley floor, was largely rebuilt through the twentieth century, and streets take a full-size vehicle with parking and lifts common in the apartment stock.
The valleys are the work. Roads towards Söll, Ellmau and Hopfgarten narrow as they climb, and village addresses in the SkiWelt often cannot take a full-size lorry at all. A transfer to a smaller vehicle at the valley mouth is standard.
Winter compounds it. Commercial winter tyre rules run November to mid-April in wintry conditions, chains may be needed for higher villages, and a heavy snowfall can close a valley road for a day. Build slack into a winter delivery date.
Almost never. Hiring a removal van and driving there yourself looks cheap until you add fuel, the Channel crossing, German and Austrian tolls, the motorway Vignette, overnight stops and one way hire fees. You also carry the customs declaration alone. A shared load with a professional removal company is usually cheaper and far simpler.
