It also suits a small consignment. Where somebody is shipping three or four cubic metres from a flat, the volume is easy to see and the access is simple, so a camera is entirely adequate.
Ask for the volume figure the survey produced, in cubic metres, and check it against the quote. A surveyor confident in a video assessment will give you the number without being pressed.
Ask the moving company to come out where the house is old, where there are outbuildings, where the approach is a lane, or where anything large was assembled in the room it stands in.
